History

Based in Stowmarket within purpose-built offices, Haymills has been operating in East Anglia for over 50 years. The business has enjoyed year-on-year success with a wide range of public and private sector clients, enjoying a strong flow of negotiated, two-stage and repeat business contracts.

In-House Resource

The Business Unit utilises a highly skilled, directly employed workforce of over 200 tradesmen, ensuring craftsmanship standards of excellence are maintained. An extremely good retention of trade-based management also makes certain that buildability knowledge is well directed and client needs are fulfilled.

An extensive training and development programme has been created to continue this solid foundation of practical skills and experience. Each year Haymills takes on apprentices and graduates who are trained in their particular discipline and supported by experienced members of the team – on-site and in the office. This leads to a continuous learning culture which can be best seen on-site and through our service provision.

Haymills is both a building and management contractor. We are capable of providing buildability advice at planning and/or design stage, through to driving on-site activities towards a successful conclusion.
